Lovecraft. Horror. Rollenspiel.
Dear Visitor,
we are currently translating the FHTAGN rulebook and game world into English. We are also creating other content in English, such as on this page. Unfortunately, you are still too early for this and we have to put you off a bit. Please feel free to continue browsing the site or just come back later. You are also welcome to follow our Twitter account @FHTAGNRPG for news and updates.
Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!
“What do we know,” he had said, “of the world and the universe about us? Our means of receiving impressions are absurdly few, and our notions of surrounding objects infinitely narrow. We see things only as we are constructed to see them, and can gain no idea of their absolute nature. With five feeble senses we pretend to comprehend the boundlessly complex cosmos, yet other beings with a wider, stronger, or different range of senses might not only see very differently the things we see, but might see and study whole worlds of matter, energy, and life which lie close at hand yet can never be detected with the senses we have.“
– From Beyond, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, 1934
The horror role-playing game FHTAGN allows playing with cosmic horror in all eras from the Stone Age to the near future. The focus is on the present, but all the rule mechanics also work in the Dreamlands, the Golden Twenties or even in outer space.
The Fragments are a collection of ideas, game content, and materials related to FHTAGN. They offer space for non-player characters, artifacts, creatures or rituals and span all development levels, eras and settings. It also includes fan fiction, entire scenarios, or background on the FHTAGN network or the craft of game mastering. This content comes from the community and is published here under Open Game License.
Are you looking for a way to link your scenarios together or introduce new characters to the game group? Or do you want to be inspired how to fill alliances and antagonists with more life? FHTAGN offers you several mechanisms to create an entire campaign framework. In addition, the FHTAGN Network is a quick way to provide characters with motivations and concrete scenario hooks. Don't forget ...

The Deutsche Lovecraft Gesellschaft e.V. (dLG; German Lovecraft Society) is a non-profit association in the German-speaking world and sees itself as a cultural community of people who are interested, in whatever form, in the work of the American author Howard Phillips Lovecraft. This is about his stories and their characters on the one hand and about their cultural use in role-playing games, movies, board games and other media on the other hand.
Under the umbrella of the dLG, the FHTAGN rulebook is therefore made available to the general public and actively developed further. This is intended to promote the discussion of the works of H. P. Lovecraft and other authors and to enable a contemporary interpretation.
